New Start Program

The New Start Program

The Manna House offers a Christ-centered recovery and restoration program that provides teaching and training for men who desire freedom from addiction. The program is designed specifically for those who want to change. It is a voluntary program but requires a commitment to complete the process for the recovery to be lasting. A willingness to develop a relationship with God, along with the love and support of others is needed to be successful. Manna House exists solely for the purpose of helping men get free from their addictions through practical, clinical, and biblical recovery curriculum and by introducing them to a relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this through an intensive twelve-month program that increases accountability, trains men in practical living, and promotes discipleship reproduction that will stay with them the rest of their lives. This will equip the residents to become leaders in their homes and communities.

How It Works

PHASE 1: SET FREE

Months 1-4

Phase one is the most intensive as well as the most pivitol. It is imperative to lay a strong foundation on which to build upon. Phase on requirments consist of daily curriculum, weekly onsite church attendance, twenty hours of classroom instruction per week, daily work detail, AA meetings, sponsorship and working steps one through nine.

PHASE 2: SET APART

Months 5-8

The second phase requires the resident to serve one of the on-site Social Enterprises while continuing to attend all classes. The resident will continue working with his sponsor, and a goals coach will be assigned to mentor on family, career, and financial planning. During this phase, each resident will be assigned required reading, and book report is due prior to transitioning to the next phase. The resident’s room and board will be covered by the Manna House throughout this phase.

PHASE 3: SET ON FIRE

Months 9-12

Phase three allows the resident the opportunity to gain outside employment. At this time, the resident must pay $200 per week for his room and board. Residents must attend all classes that do not conflict with their work schedule, continue meeting with sponsor and goals coaches, and complete a report on an assigned book. For those who feel an assurance of God’s calling on their lives, we will allow the resident to remain serving in some capacity within the ministry with the intent to apply for the Manna House Internship Program upon graduation. The Manna House will continue to cover room and board for these residents.

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
